They claim that no one understands luxury better than the Italians, which is undoubtedly true. For example, at the recent Milan Fashion Week (MFW), renowned haute couturiers displayed breathtaking designs, plenty of attitude, and, most importantly, swoon-worthy beauty looks, adding refined sophistication to this season's hair and makeup.
On the runways, we saw smart clothing and bright colours like every shade of yellow imaginable and Barbie pink, but the makeup trends ranged from dewy skin to significant attention on the eyes. Celebrity hairstylists experimented with futuristic hairstyles, delicately wrapped updos, sleek, wet-look hair, and more.

At Milan Fashion Week, the wet style was one of the most popular looks. Fendi models walked the runway with ultra sleek hair and deep side partings. Hair was perfectly tucked behind the ears on some models, while it was tied with a kitsch gold barrette on others, allowing for structure and a delicate framing of the face. This hairstyle was also seen at the Roberto Cavalli event. All you have to do to get this look is rub a dab of hair gel between your wet hands and run it through your hair while it's still damp. Reapply thin layers of gel and finish with hairspray and a dab of shine spray once you've gotten the ultimate wet appearance.
The disco-ready silver foil liner was one style that caught our eye at Milan Fashion Week. Thomas de Kluyver, a celebrity maPink accentskeup artist, took the phrase "all that glitters is not gold" to a new level for Gucci. Models sported strong metallic eyes and kept the rest of their faces dewy with nude lips. Do you want to recreate this look at home? For a similar effect, apply a wet-look shadow. And that's not all! The geometric makeup with silver glinting in the inner corners of the models' eyes was the highlight of Ambush's retro-futuristic collection, which debuted at the MFW. This look is ideal for people who want to keep up with the latest trends but aren't ready to attempt the silver foil liner.

Pink eyeshadow may appear a little too much on the eyes, but black eyeliner can help to balance them out. Take a cue from the Emporio Armani runway models. For a colourful twist on the renowned cat-eye, they were seen wearing pink makeup with dramatic winged eyeliner on the outside borders. To get this look, follow the steps below. Apply winged black eyeliner, and then draw a tidy line around your lash line with a pink eye pencil. Depending on how dramatic you want your look to be, you can use a thick or fine pink eyeliner.
Eyes that are bold and graphic
Nothing says "classic" like smokey, smouldering eye makeup, and that's exactly what we saw at Versace's show. With bleached brows and graphic, bold eyes, everything were taken up a notch and made more theatrical. The contrast of blonde brows and dark black eyes was strangely beautiful. Furthermore, Roberto Cavalli had the models go down the runway with a clean ring of black eyeshadow around their eyes that stretched to a pointed wing at the outer corners. Of course, both ensembles were created solely for the runway, but this trend has piqued our interest, and we are eager to give it a go.
